What #1 means
The provider with the lowest median ping latency ranks first within each region. Ranks use unrounded values; displayed latencies use one decimal place. A sole first place counts toward Frugal’s regional total; ties are shown separately. This does not mean a provider wins from every probe or on every observation. Extra delay vs #1 is the difference between provider medians on the shared readings; it is separate from the paired advantage.
The same comparison in each region
Rankings and p95 use observations matched across all six providers. P95 is the latency at or below which 95% of those observation medians fall. The six-provider comparison begins when Usenet.Farm’s test starts in each region. Each region has its own group and test start date; regions are not pooled into a worldwide latency score. The daily strips always show the last seven completed UTC days, regardless of the selected period. Each day uses its own matched readings; partial test days are labeled and days without comparisons have no winner.
Paired advantages
Each regional card also shows Frugal’s paired difference against the competitor with the lowest median. Millisecond and percentage figures are separate medians of matched differences. Those pairwise samples can differ from the full six-provider ranking.
